In this blend
A cool, camphoraceous blend of eucalyptus species, myrtle, pine, black spruce, and peppermint.
What It’s Designed For
R.C. blends several eucalyptus species with myrtle, pine, marjoram, lavandin, cypress, and black spruce, built for a cool, camphoraceous aroma aimed squarely at respiratory comfort. It’s one of Young Living’s longest-standing and most recognizable blends, and the name is short for “Raindrop Collection,” the topical technique it was originally formulated to accompany.
The Oils Inside
Eucalyptus globulus supplies the cool, camphoraceous backbone, while the gentler eucalyptus radiata rounds out that sharpness. Myrtle and pine add clean, resinous depth, black spruce brings a woody base note, and a touch of peppermint contributes the blend’s signature cooling sharpness. Together they layer into something more complex and long-lasting than any single eucalyptus oil alone.
When & How People Use It
3–5 drops in a diffuser, or a few drops added to a bowl of steaming water for an old-fashioned steam inhalation, is the classic use during a stuffy-nose evening or a stretch of seasonal congestion. Some people also add a drop or two to a warm shower floor (away from direct water flow) so the steam carries the aroma while they wash.
On Skin
Dilute well before applying to the chest, back, or under the nose area — the multiple eucalyptus species make this a fairly potent blend even in small amounts, and undiluted application is not recommended for adults or children.
Safety Note
Eucalyptus oils are best kept away from the faces of infants and very young children, since concentrated cineole-rich vapors can be harsh on their more sensitive airways. If in doubt, diffuse in a separate room rather than applying directly.
Sourcing Note
As a multi-oil proprietary ratio, the named product is the only reliable way to reproduce its intended balance — see our allergy and safety guide before topical use.
