In this blend
A crisp, green utility blend of citronella, lemongrass, rosemary, melaleuca, lavandin, and myrtle.
What It’s Designed For
Purification combines citronella, lavandin, lemongrass, rosemary, melaleuca (tea tree), and myrtle into a crisp, green, slightly medicinal blend built for one job: freshening the air. Unlike blends designed around mood or relaxation, Purification is a utility blend, closer in spirit to a household staple than to an aromatherapy centerpiece.
The Oils Inside
Citronella and lemongrass supply the bright, lemony-grassy top notes that give the blend its “outdoor citronella candle” association, while rosemary and melaleuca add herbal, medicinal depth. Lavandin softens the sharper edges with a floral-herbaceous note, and myrtle rounds things out with a clean, faintly sweet undertone. The combination is designed to smell active and green rather than soft or comforting.
When & How People Use It
3–5 drops in a diffuser clears out stale odors quickly, and the citronella content makes it a natural choice for outdoor diffusing during warm-weather gatherings, patio dinners, or camping trips. Around the house, a few drops in a small spray bottle with water makes a quick fabric or room refresher — useful for closets, gym bags, cars, or shoe storage where odors tend to linger. Some people add a drop to the inside of a trash can lid between bag changes.
On Skin
Purification is generally used aromatically rather than topically. If applying it to skin, dilute well — several of its component oils, lemongrass especially, can be irritating at higher concentrations and should never be used near the eyes or mucous membranes.
Safety Note
Because citronella is closely associated with outdoor insect-repelling candles, some people assume Purification is a bug spray substitute; it isn’t formulated or tested as one, so don’t rely on it in place of an actual repellent in areas with mosquito-borne disease risk.
Sourcing Note
Citronella and lemongrass quality vary widely by grower and distillation batch, and this proprietary six-oil ratio is only reproducible by buying the named blend rather than combining the individual oils at home.
